Welcome to COOL Ministries, Inc. We are a 501C3 Non-Profit Organization focused on results in Recovery. God's WAY. We go to prisons, jails, drug treatment facilities and transitional living centers carrying the message of hope for the hopeless and that recovery from all forms of sin is possible through a complete surrender to Jesus Christ.
We presently offer prisoners a Christ-centered 12-Step Recovery and Relapse Prevention Treatment Program which includes a 130-page Manual, 2-DVD Set with 6-30 minute videos on each disc. Our Program is called, "Breaking The Chains (BTC).
The program includes a Certificate of Completion at the end of a 14-week journey through the Curriculum.
Some of our classes are peer taught and others include TDCJ Approved Volunteers to facilitate the teaching.
We have classes at Plane State Jail, Ramsey TC Unit, Bell Unit, Leblanc Unit, Lopez Unit, Ney Unit, & Perpetual Help Home in Victoria, TX.
Pastor Boyd Harrell, founder, president, & senior pastor offers a smorgasbord of resource information for ex-offenders returning to society for housing, jails, and a plethora of other services needed.
At Katy Cares, we believe healing homelessness begins with the whole person. Every individual entering our home will have the opportunity to discover their unique purpose and embark on a challenging and rewarding journey towards hope for their future. Success from our program is obtained through each mother committing to the challenging process – from our rigorous educational advancement, intensive counseling and support groups to spiritual growth and making connections in the community. Each woman that graduates from her individualized program can proudly say she has persevered and made a choice to rise above.
