Matt Morgan Receives Critical Endorsement from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton

Conservative leader and small businessman Matt Morgan received an endorsement from Attorney General Ken Paxton last Friday. Morgan is running against liberal Republican Jacey Jetton for Texas House District 26. Morgan previously ran in the 2020 Republican primary nearly winning outright and is looking forward to a rematch and a victory in 2024.

This critical endorsement from Attorney General Paxton signals to voters that Matt Morgan is the real conservative running in this race. Running against one of the most liberal Republicans in Austin, Morgan is building a strong collation of conservatives in the district to defeat Jacey Jetton.

Attorney General endorsed Matt Morgan saying, “Matt Morgan is fighting hard to bring conservative representation to District 26. He opposes transgender ideology being forced on Texas children and believes Democrats should be removed from the powerful positions they’ve been given in the Texas House. Matt will fight for our Republican priorities and that’s why I’m proud to endorse his campaign.”

Morgan welcomed Attorney General Ken Paxton’s endorsement saying “I am incredibly humbled and grateful to receive an endorsement from Attorney General Ken Paxton. I’m not a politician. I’m an outsider and a small business owner. I’m not running to serve special interests in Austin or to serve myself. I’m running to return government to the people.

Our state legislature in Austin has become too entrenched and too disconnected to hear the concerns of the Texas people. Jacey Jetton likes to say he’s a conservative, but his voting record shows he is just another tax and spend liberal hiding behind the falsities and empty promises of the Speaker and his cohort of special interest groups. I know how to take on special interests and I know how to win. Enough is enough. It’s time to drain the Austin swamp,” said Morgan concluded.
