Due to the coronaviruses, it has proven difficult to keep media enterprises going, but many do pull through—often with ingredients as simple as ‘willpower’ and ‘resolve.’ When Fox decided to streamline its endeavors by offloading major responsibilities to Disney recently, not for the first time, but the third since 2002, Disney came of age indeed. It will today make films on the same scale and magnitude as Warner Bros., Universal, and Paramount.
This year a bold undertaking that pits Chinese against Chinese is delivered in the form of Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)—an explanation of what it figuratively entails when classical Chinese go up against communist Chinese. The commentary is not lost on audiences who live through these tumultuous seasons of coronavirus outbreaks. Often, it is the Chinese civilian armed with bamboo sticks and tree-bark shields, against an iconoclastic, atheistic, and technologically advanced Communist Chinese government.
Other races around the world grapple with what this decade might mean, as China languishes in a terse and unspoken limbo between a proud, unrepentant Communist administration, and more than a billion subjects who have no means to fight a morally corrupt Beijing.
Yes, acquiring a bamboo rod from a wooded area does not equip you to bring Beijing to trial for the crime of the coronaviruses.
The film is indefatigably accurate from beginning to end in its cultural portrayals, and gives information that makes the viewer set for life when it comes to ethnic Chinese affairs. If you wanted a peek into pronunciation quirks, the movie gives you the whole bucketload. If you wanted to see if there are good Chinese who will fight evil Chinese, even if it means a son opposing his father, this film lays out the full scope of how that will look like.
And, if you have been snapped at by impatient Chinese persons, this movie shows you you’re not imagining things: a Chinese girl gives a snide response to a Caucasian flight attendant who was momentarily confused in trying to figure out meal allocations for passengers.
Shang-chi (2021) serves up a momentous invitation to Easterners in a most turbulent time. Will we back down and acquiesce, defeated and devoid of hope, to a communist regime that hisses, hyperventilates, behaves demonically, and uses militiamen against a peaceful hamlet? Or are we sane and courageous enough to stand defiant against communist darkness, even when these foes are our racial kin, and they come attired in paramilitary gear, electric crossbows, and a penchant for obeying the ambient voices of demons?
An International Perspective Is A Gospel Perspective
The Chinese race, a near twenty percent of the global human population, has always been a centrifugal force for humanity’s destiny, much like what Europeans, the European continent, and European descendants are in their choices as a racial community. Global wellbeing or destruction is decided by what the North Atlantic nations do, and also by what China does.
When Hitler coaxed, coerced, and compelled Europe into practical antisemitism, it unified much of the western hemisphere from Finland to Argentina, and eliminated six million Jewish persons very efficiently. When America’s armed forces took back Europe, and disenfranchised the Nazi party, the world was soon defined by the United States and the English language (its largest export), not Germany and the German tongue.
The West matters to God. If it didn’t, God would have let Hitler win, in order for the Jews to completely perish, and the West to be unified by Germany. In practical terms, North Atlantic society would have thereafter prospered under German hegemony. American nationhood would not have suffered, and would rather be strengthened, for the Germanic origins of much of modern America are apparent and useful in the Nazi ideal. After all, the only permanent casualties of Nazi influence are the Jews.
But Jewish people and the nation of Israel mean the universe to God. They matter a lot to Him, and messianic leader Jesus of Nazareth even proclaimed it so, “I came to first serve the nation of Israel,” when he explained His mission to a Samaritan citizen. “Israel is as chicks under the wing of a nurturing hen,” He reminds us, and God is evidently the same yesterday, today, and forever. He chose Israel at Sinai, He held Israel dear when the ages turned from BC to AD, and He defends Israel between 1938 and 1948, and beyond. (The State of Israel was restored in 1948 against all odds, including a simultaneous, vile, and coordinated attack by seven Arab entities all converging on Israel.)
China matters to God, or else He would’ve let the militarist Japanese win, in order for the East to federate with Japan. But Japan, which is in modern times still regarded as “the graveyard of the gospel” (i.e. where Christianity goes to die, and where missionary work fails miserably), could not be allowed to win, and certainly not with a god at her helm, that is, an emperor who pretended to be divine.
An international perspective on what Easterners and Westerners are, in God’s eternal and unfolding plan, is required in order to live up to the commission of taking the gospel everywhere, and to love thy neighbor—which, unlike the inquirers who thought that meant only the folks next door, actually indicates a love for all nations, all peoples, all races. On this earth, which is really a very small place of a mere hundred and ninety-four nations, and five major bioracial genotypes, it is the fault of the Christian Church for the gospel having failed to touch all corners of the global community.
China Poised To Become Largest Christian And Anglophone Country
The reason Shang-chi and his sister were tracked down and brought in by their wayward father was simply to control and use them. He had nefarious purposes, and hoped to brainwash them to action. This is precisely how the Chinese people are being trapped and tied up for the grand schemes of Beijing’s communists. What Xi Jinping fears the most is the Christian power of the Chinese masses—before he began a systematic nationwide crackdown on Jewish life and Christian attendance, China was poised to become the world’s largest Christian and English-speaking nation.
The gospel for China. It’s that simple. The preservation and elevation of China, just so that she soaks up the gospel, and for it to thus permeate her society in every way—this is history in the making. If you had ever needed an answer for why Germany and Japan lost, this could be it. Hitler and Hirohito thought themselves gods, but Heavenly Father most definitely disagreed.
Killing off China did not work. Killing off the nation of Israel in the diaspora did not work. These outcomes are perhaps the clearest examples of what it means to insist that “God will not be mocked.” Communist stalwart Xi Jinping should pay close attention to this. If the ending in Shang-chi (2021) is any indication, there is no way the Communist Party can persist in its stranglehold upon China. China will be freed, and Christianity shall emerge from hiding, stronger than ever. In discontinuing all support for separatist Palestine, China would be groundbreaking and triumphant in her eagerness to build an exclusive and permanent alliance with the State of Israel.
