Melissa M. Wilson has formerly announced her candidacy for Fort Bend County Commissioner shortly after redistricting. Melissa M. Wilson has served as a community service liaison and business owner in the area and have a heart for the people. She is a devoted Christian mother and wife and understand the needs of her community. She attended the University of Houston and eventually graduated from Florida Tech in 2007. She is currently the broker/owner of a real estate and insurance brokerage and has experience in residential and commercial development.
“I am the best choice for this race because I have the experience to take this precinct forward”. I have been working in this community as a volunteer and with my business for over a decade and would be honored to earn your support in the Republican Primary March 2022,” Wilson said.
Wilson’s top concerns are lower taxes and infrastructure for our growing community. She believes that with increasing home values, this may compromise our homeowners financially so we need people in office that will always have that in mind. Wilson believes that allocating county resources in services that benefit all residents is her priority. She believes the division amongst members of the community is not allowing our precinct to move forward. My experience in real estate and working with developers will allow me to work on our behalf, says Wilson.
Wilson believes public input is imperative and government should be fully transparent.
“I will proactively measure ways we can lower our tax base which will include allocating funds to resources our community actually needs”.
