Fort Bend County, Texas Rep. Gary Gates to File Strong Border Security, Election Integrity and Crime Bills in the Upcoming Legislative Session

BREAKING: Ripples will be felt by the Texas House of Representatives in the upcoming 2025 legislative session, where Texas Rep. Gary Gates (R-HD 28) will file several bills to stop illegal immigration from overwhelming beleaguered Texans.

“The situation is ridiculous,” Gates said in an exclusive phone interview with Katy Christian Magazine. “Every day, thousands of illegal immigrants from over a hundred different countries pour into the country via the Southern border. These immigrants are unvetted. Nobody has any idea who they are.”

“In addition to that, many conservative Texans and [U.S. citizens] have lost confidence in our nation’s electoral system. In the upcoming legislative session, I will introduce strong election security measures, including reinstating the felony status for many election fraud crimes.”

Further, Gates described the staggering hike in all types of crime, including violent crime, in the greater Houston metropolitan area.

“Rising crime is on the minds of many of my constituents,” he said. “Woke officials have more sympathy for criminals than for law abiding citizens. Rogue district attorneys (DAs) throughout Texas cherry pick which laws to prosecute and which to not enforce. My bill will call for all district attorneys to follow Texas law.”

“If they are unwilling to do so, my bill calls for removal of those DAs from office. District attorneys in Texas have more power than a governor. The situation is outrageous.”

Many Republican members in the Texas House have expressed an interest in signing Gates’ bill, he said.

These potential bills would address the concerns of many Texans, and hopefully, put an end to the destruction of our state. Let’s just hope that Gates can muster the support to push these commonsense bills into Texas law.
