MAGA Trucker Boycott to Take a Bite Out of the Big Apple?

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK– Following former president Trump’s Feb. 16 unjust civil fraud ruling, Pro-Trump truck drivers called for a boycott of deliveries into New York City. The MAGA truckers have since faced criticism online, receiving threats that their “jobs will be replaced by immigrants.”

The scale of the boycott is the cause of massive online speculation. Some freedom-loving truckers are openly boycotting the Big Apple, while others claim to have “never heard of” the delivery boycott.

On Feb. 16, NYC Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that Trump must pay $355 million in penalties, with nearly $112 thousand accruing in interest a day, in a civil fraud case brought against him by NY Attorney General Letitia James.

The lawsuit claimed that Trump and co-defendants, including his sons, his former CFO and others, fraudulently inflated his net worth and the value of his assets to secure higher business loans. In addition to the fine, Engoron barred Trump from serving as an officer or director for NY corporation until 2028.

Throughout the suit, Trump vehemently maintained his innocence. In response to the ruling, Trump called Engoron and James “crooked” and “corrupt,” and voiced his plans to appeal the verdict.

After the ruling, many pro-Trump social media users, including conservative InfoWars host Alex Jones, urged truckers to boycott NYC by refusing to accept routes and deliveries into the city.

“The people have the power,” Jones wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Time to use it! Go Truckers!!”

“I’ve been on the radio talking to drivers for about the past hour and I’ve talked to about 10 drivers,” one popular user named “Chicago Ray” said in a nearly three-minute video message on X. “They’re going to start refusing loads to New York City starting on Monday.

“I don’t know how far across the country this is or how many truckers are going to start denying loads going to New York City, but I’ll tell you what—you f*** around and find out,” Ray continued. “We are tired of you leftists with Trump. Motherf***ers are getting tired of this,” he said.

The conservative trucker said that he and his MAGA trucker colleagues had already informed their bosses of their NYC boycott.

“[Our bosses] ain’t gonna care if we deny the loads. We’ll just go somewhere else,” he said. “I hate to say it, but truckers are for Trump. Ain’t no motherf***ers are for Biden.”

Ray’s video message post, which was viewed several million times, has since been removed from X.

Many social media using truckers posted their support of the movement, while others claim that the boycott is a farce, and it is “not happening.” The boycott spurred a war on social media between MAGA supporters and NYC liberals.

“Who is to say, illegal immigrants don’t take your job?” X user “Ms. Eve” wrote in a post.

“Anytime a ‘Trucker for Trump’ refuses to carry a load he/she should be fired immediately and replaced with an immigrant who wants the work!” user “End Citizens United Now” posted on X.

Neither the former president nor the Trucking Association of New York have commented on the boycott.
