Welcome to the 2024 Fort Bend County Christian Voter’s Guide presented by Katy Christian Magazine. Katy Christian Magazine has been producing a Christian Voter’s Guide for Fort Bend County since 2014.
We proudly provide the only Christian Voter’s Guide for Harris County, and we try to help candidates get elected whom we believe best represent the views and values of our readership.
Generally, our hand-selected and vetted candidates are adamant Christians. However, at times, a candidate we support may hold a different faith than ours. In these instances, we endorse the candidate with the beliefs that they match and will uphold our values closely while in office, and that they have the best odds of winning their seat.
Sometimes, people of other faiths fight for our values harder than so-called Christians who claim to have conservative values. As we’ve witnessed time and time again, many in the Texas House claim to be conservative, but vote alongside Democrats more often than they do with Republicans.
Many Republican candidates have touted their “Christian values” to Katy Christian Magazine in past elections, only to govern as those who have no values. No longer will we endorse candidates whom we cannot vouch for the character of over the premise of shared Christianity alone.
In many races, we have made no endorsements, simply because we do not know a candidate well, let alone their true belief system. We have reached out many times to various candidates, only to be ignored. Too many times in the past, we have been deceived, only to help them get elected.
We’ve recently taken a cautious approach to elections. We fully believe in the candidates listed below, and we encourage our many readers to cast their votes for them during this year’s primary election cycle.
