For the second year, veterans of American Legion Post 164 will be selling fireworks to light up the skies this Fourth of July.
Last year, the group set up their fireworks stand as a fundraiser for a badly needed sign outside their Post. The sale was so popular that they decided to bring it back this year. After all, everyone loves our veterans, and this is a way not only to support them but to thank them for their contributions to our freedom.
Located at 22125 Kingsland Blvd in Katy, the American Legion Post 164 Fireworks Stand opened this year on June 23rd and will operate through July 5th at 11 am. Weekday hours are from 9 am to 11 pm, Friday and Saturday 9 am through 1 am, Sunday 9 am to 1 pm. The stand is manned by volunteers, all veterans from every branch of service.
The American Legion is a service organization that raises money and donates to the community to help veterans, children and youth, and support Americanism and National Security.
