As the Democratic Party continues to negotiate among themselves on how to pay for its “Build Back Better” plus a Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and scrambles to meet Biden’s self-imposed deadline coinciding with his trip to Europe, there is a brand new plan described in a Washington Post article today. This is the “Billionaire Tax” on 700+ citizens.
Although their “zero cost” bills are a “tax cut” for most Americans per Biden, the Democrats have now identified about $500 billion that they can confiscate from the wealthiest citizens!
10 men specifically named are Elon Musk (Tesla), Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Larry Page (Alphabet), Warren Buffet (Berkshire Hathaway), Sergey Brin (Alphabet), Jim Walton (Walmart), Bill Gates (Microsoft), Steve Balmer (Microsoft) and Larry Ellison (Oracle), all of whom should be able to contribute $276 billion of the $500 billion confiscated.
Here is some additional detail disclosed in the article regarding each of these individuals.
There are approximately 330 million people in the United States. Much like those million-dollar class action lawsuits against companies for securities law violations or drug firms sued for damages (where only the attorneys involved really benefit), by the time Biden’s Federal Government completes its act as the “middleman” in this re-allocation of great wealth, I am estimating that each of us would receive about 2 cents each!!! Joe Manchin understands this reality and may soon throw a monkey wrench into their latest “Pay For” Leftist strategy.
But, if this Billionaire Tax plan is viable, I would much prefer to be paid directly as follows:
Elon Musk (Tesla) $151.51
Jeff Bezos (Amazon) 133.33
Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) 87.87
Larry Page (Alphabet) 87.87
Warren Buffet (Berkshire Hathaway) 75.75
Sergey Brin (Alphabet) 84.84
Jim Walton (Walmart) 36.36
Bill Gates (Microsoft) 57.57
Steve Balmer (Microsoft) 39.39
Larry Ellison (Oracle) 81.81
Total $836.30
Biden & Company, Inc. can collect the other $224 Billion from all the other billionaires and reimburse these 10 men for the processing and postage costs associated with their direct payments… Does this seem equitable to you?
