City of Katy to Host Katy Summer Tailgate

Returning from a great success last year, the City of Katy will host the “Katy Summer Tailgate with a Taste of Katy”. The event is part of Operation Backpack, an 11-year-old Houston-wide YMCA initiative.

The event will take place on August 13, 2016 from 6-10 p.m. in Historic Katy, near city hall. Attendees must either bring a backpack, school supply or make a monetary donation to the cause as an entry fee.

Activities include a Fun Zone for the kids, vendor booths, a Row of Restaurants with plenty to satisfy any craving, and a street dance with live music.

All donations, both school supplies and monetary, will benefit the YMCA’s Operation Backpack program. This program helps to ensure that many of our local Katy Kids start school with all of the essentials to kick off a successful school year.

Support Christian Journalism

Free Speech is Free, but the cost to publish Free Speech is not. The assault on honest, Christian Journalism and Media has taken a devastating toll during this past year. Many Christian media outlets have not survived.

It is through your Generosity and Support that we are able to promote Free Speech and Safeguard our Freedoms and Liberties throughout our Communities and the Nation.

A donation of any size makes a Big Difference. Please consider donating or subscribing today. Thank you for your Support!
