Pastor Profile: Bishop Jesus Rivero, Moving Mountains Ministries, Inc.

Moving Mountains Ministries, Inc. was founded in 1996 by Bishop Jesus Rivero and Co-founder Janeth Rivero. Bishop Jesús Rivero was ordained by Lakewood Church as a minister in April of 1972 and he set out to share the Principles of the word of God around through out the world. 

He first heard his calling to preach and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 18 and he preached his first sermon the very next day. Bishop was an amazing man of God, he was on fire, and he was ready to begin helping to build God’s Kingdom and win souls for Christ. And, he has done just that. He made up his mind to serve the Lord at a young age and has not turned back. When he speaks you feel the love of God coming from him and has an honest desire to serve the Lord at all times. Bishop has a strong passion to teach the word of God to all who will listen.

When I asked about the core foundations of his ministry, Bishop replied, “Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior and Lord of All.” He believes his calling and purpose is to continue to help pastors and leaders around the Globe to reach their potential and line up with God’s purpose and perfect plan for their lives and their ministries. Bishop says, “we have the capacity to help people to achieve happiness and success.”  

God has always been first in his life, but he expresses how blessed he feel that God has giving him such a loving and supportive wife. Rivero is happily married to his wife, Janeth Rivero. They married in 1979 and she has been an integral component of the ministry from its inception. She has helped to operate the ministry in a number of ways, including: editing books and CD’s, event coordination, travel arrangements, and a number of other roles. Rivero says that he and his wife have also been blessed with three beautiful daughters.

Bishop Rivero shared with Katy Christian Magazine that his favorite scripture is Mark 11:24.  “ Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”. According to Rivero, “this scripture means that everything is possible if we believe”.
