Gifted creative writer Leah Marut finished 3rd place in a state wide writing contest through the Texas Christian School Interscholastic Tournament. This rising scholar received state recognition as part of the Duke TIP seventh-grade talent search. Leah scored a 1590 on the SAT, was given the opportunity to participate in the Center for Summer Studies, made the Dean’s List (93 average or above) all four terms, and is a member of National Junior Honor Society.

Leah serves as a member of Student Body Council and is a a self-taught guitarist and member of the CCA Cougar Band where she has played the flute for the last three years. She and her family attend the Sugar Land Vineyard Church.

Leah’s favorite Bible verse is “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech, but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18 NIV.
