During time off from school, it not unusual to see Brooke cleaning stalls at AG barn and caring for a young goat named Hurley. Brooke said it was her love for the outdoors that started her initial interests FFA, but it was the FFA Sponsor Rachel Gough that was the deciding factor to join. “I really liked that Mrs. Gough held members to a higher standard,” she said. Brooke is now the current president of the FFA and oversees the organization of classmates interested in developing their potential for leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
What are you involved with at school and/or in the community?
• I am president of the Faith West Academy FFA Chapter
• I lead junior high Bible Study of 7th grade girls
• I am a member of the FWA swim team
Favorite thing to do after school: Be outside. I love the outdoors. I enjoying running, surfing, water skiing, and wake boarding. Pretty much any water sport.
Favorite class or subject: FFA classes. I took Introduction to AG last year. I am taking Floral Design this year. I think these classes have real world application.
What are your ambitions after high school? I would like to attend Baylor and study nursing. I enjoy helping and being social with people.
