Thinking of joining a boot camp in Katy? The weather is great and there’s no better time to get started.
Founded by strong Christian Ally Davidson, Camp Gladiator was created with a goal to “witness through fitness.” Trainer John Steele is proud of this heritage and continues the tradition. “We are located in multiple different city and states, and appeal to everyone from high level athletes to brides to grandmothers.”
Although clients don’t have to share the faith, often trainer-client bonding and trust gives Steele the opportunity to open up about his beliefs and values. “Sometimes the topic of stewardship arises, and stewardship comes in many forms. One of the greatest gifts God has given us is our bodies. Taking care of our “temples” should rate high in in our goals,” he says. “Physical results often open doors to the spiritual realms, so people are in a place to listen an not tune-out.”
Don’t let the words “boot camp” intimidate you. Overall, the atmosphere is uplifting. “There is no negativity,” says Steele. “We have people of all fitness levels doing the same work out at their own pace, so a feeling of unity and encouragement permeates each session. No one is tearing anyone down.” This is a contrast to other boot camps that can be strict and militaristic. “Our work outs lighten the mood, and a side benefit is that good long-term friendships are grown.”
Steele’s focus is two-fold: 1.) To grow the business and 2.) represent Christ well through his actions. With this in him he offers a discounted rate for four weeks of camp. “We want Camp Gladiator to offer the best and most affordable way to get fit in Katy,” he says. He explains the concept, as follows:
Why Camp Gladiator?
In addition to being the fastest growing fitness movement in the United States, Camp Gladiator has been voted “Best Of” by virtually every publication and ranking agency in existence, including Competitor, D Magazine, Austin Fit, Rare Magazine, and WFAA.
No need to worry about weather because we never cancel a camp. Never. Rain, shine, sleet or snow, there will be a trainer present to greet you with a big CG smile! Every location has a covered area or alternate area where camp can be held if needed due to weather.
Boot camps are a cost effective way to receive professional training at a reasonable price.
The group environment is great for accountability, competition and fun.
The American College of Sports Medicine recently released a study reporting Outdoor Boot Camps as the #1 Fitness Trend.
Who is a good candidate for boot camp?
The short answer to this question is EVERYONE – men, women, young and old. All fitness levels are welcome; we have competitive athletes, and others who haven’t worked out in years. The program allows campers to go at their own pace, so no one ever holds anyone else up and no one ever gets held up by others. Our job is to help get the most out of you. Are you trying to lose weight? Training for a marathon? Getting fit before your wedding? Trying to mix up your routine? Looking for an environment to challenge/motivate you? You should sign up for these reasons and dozens more.

Lowest Cost – Our initial cost is lower than virtually every other camp. Our discounts are better than any other camp, and our consecutive camp discount can get your cost down to less than $5/session. Our consecutive campers only pay between $69-$95 per camp and when you throw in our $25 credit for referring a friend, many of our campers don’t pay a dime!
More Fun – No, we do not wear combat boots and yell at you. No, you will not fear for your life. What we promise is a fun, challenging, and competitive environment where men and women of all ages and fitness levels can push themselves. CG is more than a boot camp, it’s a way of life.
