Palin Changes Everything for Me
My hat’s off to Senator McCain for his Vice President pick of Sarah Palin. A mother of five, with her youngest having Downs Syndrome. She probably never once considered having an abortion. I must say I was not excited about this year’s elections, but this pick changes everything for me. I asked our political columnists Mark Williamson for his thoughts and here is what he says about Palin;
“Sarah Palin is strongly pro-life, pro-family (they have 5 children, one of which is a 6-month old baby with Downs Syndrome), pro-gun, is a wife, mother, “frontier-woman” hunter and fisher, business woman, and very popular governor (80% approval rating in Alaska). She’s very pro-domestic energy, including favoring (as everyone in Alaska does) drilling in ANWR, and has gotten a law passed for the building of a new natural gas pipeline. She’s also a very tough reformer regarding ethics and integrity. She’s a great match for McCain, and will prove to be a very strong asset to the campaign.”
I believe it is the Christian’s job to not only vote in our nations elections, but to strongly support candidates they feel would lead us back to the Christian-Judeo values our country were founded by.
Houston Christian Magazine has once again come out with its voters guide for this year’s election. It can be found starting on page 22. Some of our endorsements like Eric Story, Debbie and Mike Riddle, to name just a few, were easy to make knowing their strong Christian character.
