Could 2,000 Year Old Artifact “Shroud of Turin” Point to the Resurrection of Christ?

This Easter week, believers in the Katy area will have a rare opportunity to encounter one of Christianity’s most mysterious and compelling artifacts. From Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday, The Bible Seminary and Grace Fellowship Church are partnering to present The Shroud of Turin Exhibit: An Authorized Replica, featuring teaching by Christian apologist and scholar Jeremiah Johnston.

The eight-day exhibit, on display March 29 through April 5 in Grace Fellowship’s new Discipleship Building, invites visitors to explore the historical, archaeological, and scientific evidence surrounding the Shroud of Turin—believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ. The Shroud is one of the most studied artifacts in human history, and its image continues to raise profound questions about the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Guests will begin with a documentary introduction before moving through 29 interactive stations that examine the Shroud’s origin, composition, and significance. The exhibit features one of only seven surviving authorized replicas in the world, crafted using first-century flax fibers and a traditional herringbone weave to recreate the ancient cloth with remarkable accuracy.

In addition to the exhibit, attendees may participate in three special seminars led by respected scholars, including Scott Stripling, Provost of The Bible Seminary; Craig Evans, Distinguished Research Professor; and Johnston, who will address the evidence surrounding the resurrection of Jesus.

Admission to the exhibit is free, but reservations are required, and no walk-ins will be permitted. Tours begin every 30 minutes throughout the week, with seminars scheduled for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.

As Christians around the world reflect on Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection, this immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to engage both heart and mind—and to consider anew the historical foundations of Easter’s greatest claim.

Reservations can be made at 3JMuseum.com/shroud.
