A powerful event is coming to Katy on April 5, designed to help Christians discover how they can step into their calling and serve God more effectively.
Commissioned: Finding and Fulfilling God’s Call will bring together believers from across the area to hear inspiring messages from Steven “Stocky” Stockwell and connect with ministries making an impact both locally and globally.
The event will focus on what God calls all believers to do, how He is working in Katy and around the world, and how individuals can discern and fulfill their unique purpose.
Many churchgoers attend services, join small groups, and volunteer occasionally, yet still wonder if there is more they should be doing. Commissioned aims to provide clarity and practical next steps.
The evening will conclude with a ministry and missions fair, where local organizations will share ways attendees can support their work through prayer, service, and giving. Whether someone feels called to local outreach, global missions, or strengthening the church right here in Katy, this event will offer the tools and connections to take action.
The need for the Gospel remains urgent. Nearly 3 billion people worldwide have never heard of Jesus. Millions of Christians face persecution and poverty, and thousands in Katy are searching for hope. The Great Commission—Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations—remains unfinished, and believers are called to be part of the solution.
“It has been almost 2,000 years since Jesus commanded His followers to ‘Go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey all that I have commanded you’ (Matthew 28:19-20). Yet there is still so much work to be done,” organizers say.
Commissioned will take place on April 5 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Westland Baptist Church, which is located at 1407 Grand Pkwy, Katy, TX. 77494.
All are encouraged to attend. More information and registration details for this free event can be found at www.MedalMinistries.com. For those ready to answer God’s call, this is the time. The work isn’t done, and the need has never been greater.
